Put PDF pages in the right order
A PDF may have the right content but the wrong sequence after scanning, merging files or exporting pages from different sources. Reordering is useful for reports, applications, presentations, scanned paperwork and any document that needs a deliberate reading order.
How to reorder PDF pages
- Select a PDF or drop it into the tool.
- Review the page list from first to last.
- Use the up and down controls to move a page into position.
- Download the reordered PDF and check the first and last pages before sharing it.
Reordering is different from merging or splitting
Merging combines separate PDF files, while splitting creates separate documents from one file. Reordering keeps the same pages in the same document but changes their sequence. That distinction matters when you need one final report rather than several output files.
Useful examples
You might move a cover page to the front, place an appendix after the main report, put scanned receipts in chronological order, or correct a page sequence after combining several documents. Because the tool works with page objects rather than rewriting their text, the operation is focused on organization.
Verify the reordered document
After export, open the new PDF and check the page count, first page, section transitions and final page. For forms or signed documents, also verify that signatures, annotations and bookmarks still behave as expected in your PDF viewer.
Browser-based processing
The page organization workflow is designed to load the selected PDF into the browser and create the reordered file locally. No intentional upload to a NeroTool processing server is required for the reorder operation.

Can I change the order of every PDF page?
Yes. Load a PDF, move pages up or down in the list, then create a new PDF in that order.
Does reordering change the page content?
No. The tool copies the existing PDF pages into a new sequence; it does not rewrite their visible content.
Can I reorder a password-protected PDF?
The PDF must be readable by the browser and compatible with the local PDF library. Protected files that cannot be opened normally will need to be unlocked with the authorized password first.
