NeroTool is designed around browser-based tools. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use the website and how cookies, analytics and advertising may work.

1. Files and text

For tools that support local browser processing, selected files and text are processed by your browser and are not intentionally uploaded to a NeroTool application server. Processing behavior can differ by tool, so review the individual tool page before using confidential information.

2. Third-party libraries and assets

NeroTool may use client-side libraries, fonts, models and other technical dependencies for PDF rendering, OCR, image processing, QR scanning and media conversion. A browser may request these assets from a third-party CDN or provider. Such providers may receive normal technical information associated with an HTTP request under their own policies.

The Background Remover can load model/runtime assets from third-party infrastructure. The image is intended to remain in the browser during the local processing workflow, but external hosting and dependencies can change.

3. Cookies and consent

NeroTool currently uses a lightweight preference mechanism to remember whether you accepted or declined optional cookies. The current site does not load advertising or analytics scripts by default. If optional advertising or analytics services are enabled, they will be configured separately from essential site functionality where applicable, and the consent experience will be updated to reflect the services actually in use. Your choice can be changed through the cookie-preference control when available.

4. Analytics

If analytics are enabled, they may collect aggregated or technical usage information such as page views, browser or device characteristics and general interaction data. Optional analytics should operate according to the site's consent settings and the provider's configuration.

5. Advertising

NeroTool may display advertising to support free access. Advertising is not currently enabled in this archive. If Google AdSense or another advertising provider is enabled, the applicable provider may use cookies or similar technologies subject to the provider's documentation and applicable consent requirements. For users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, the advertising setup will use an appropriate Google-certified consent management solution where required for personalised advertising.

6. Information you provide

If you contact NeroTool, information included in your message may be used to respond, investigate a reported issue or improve the service. Send only information necessary for the request.

7. Retention

NeroTool does not require an account for the current tools. Locally processed files are intended to remain in the browser workflow rather than being stored on a NeroTool processing server. Information voluntarily provided through a contact channel may be retained as needed for the relevant purpose and applicable requirements.

8. Security

NeroTool uses reasonable technical measures appropriate to a browser-based service, including HTTPS, browser-side processing where supported and security-related HTTP headers. No website can guarantee absolute security, so avoid submitting information that you cannot risk exposing.

9. Children's privacy

NeroTool is a general-purpose service and is not designed to collect personal information from children.
