What does PDF password protection do?
Protect PDF adds an opening password to the new PDF so the file cannot be opened without the password. This is useful for documents containing private business information, personal records or other material that should not be freely accessible.
Choosing a strong PDF password
Use a password that is long, unique and difficult to guess. Avoid names, dates and common phrases. Store the password separately from the protected PDF when you need to share the document with someone else.
