What does image upscaling do?
Upscaling increases an image's pixel dimensions by generating additional pixels between the original ones. It does not magically recover detail that was absent from the source.
Should I use 2× or 4×?
Use 2× for a moderate enlargement and 4× when you need a much larger output. Very small or low-quality originals may show more artifacts at 4×.
